The date for the Dance Around the World Festival in 2017 will be Saturday and Sunday, 28-29 October.
We are still recovering from the 2016 event. The 2017 event will follow a similar format to 2016 but the programme does grow every year with lots of long-standing friends and also lots of new faces. To get an idea of what to expect you can click on some of the archived events from previous years that are listed on the right hand side of this page. Expect a non-stop programme of performances in the spacious upstairs hall and at the same time one hour taster workshops in the two halls downstairs and in the dance marquee in the garden. We don't know the details of the 2017 programme but on each night there will be a choice of two events, one in the spacious upstairs hall and another in the larger of the downstairs halls
Workshops, Performances and Social Dances
The nonstop programme of performances, workshops and social dances runs from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm on both days. The 2017 programme is not yet planned but we again expect about fifty performing groups representing cultures from regions as diverse as Algeria, South-East Europe, North and South Africa, China, India, the Caribbean and North and South America. Dance workshops are a very important part of Dance Around the World and there are lots of them!
We hope to keep the prices the same as 2016. You can see these listed on the home page of the website.
